on ka-bar's website the bk2 campanion is $101.19... on amazon it is 59.99 + shipping is 67.30.

Why does kabar sell theirs for 101.19? Anyone know?

ESEE Knives does the same thing. It keeps the competition between the dealers. I'm all for it!

it's called MSRP.

why does something at best buy cost twice what it does on amazon?

same reason :)

ah, economics...

course, not all things on amazon are gold.

Of course there is always the Cold Steel way of doing things. Set an MSRP. Sell to dealers at a crap price and then sell to the public at prices that directly compete with your own dealers.

I prefer the KA-BAR way.

these guys have some of the cheapest becker online prices :

http://www.tomarskabars.com/

great fast service on all my orders.

msrp and street prices are almost always different for most brands of knives. sometimes after market values may be more with some makers.:confused::D

trick is to do your homework before you buy.;)
