Liking the cactus!

Are there any other cactus versions of the handle slabs besides the prickly pear cactus?

Those are REALLY nice! I know what a prickly pear cactus is, but explain how knife handle and prickly pear fit together. What material is this you're using?

If I understand right, the strands that you see are the core of the cactus that have been encased in a resin.

Yes, that is a nice one! Eric, did you create that look on the blade or are their factory versions of it?

I like the chipflint look but haven't bought any since I don't see them as users. This version could be the best of both worlds!

“Original Cactus Blank”™ knife and pistol scales are hand made from Texas Prickly Pear Cactus (Opuntia lindheimeri Engelm. var. lindheimeri), the state plant of Texas. Portions of the cactus are painstkingly harvested, processed, and cast in urethane resin to make the set of scales. (All scales are bookmatched.) Only naturally dead pads are harvested and no damage is done to the living plant.

The Chipflint is hand done, not factory. They would make a great user blade.
