Nothing will get me to turn away from viewing a thread or an auction like having Primative, Primal, Zombie, or Tactical in the title.

I usually avoid most stuff with "zombie" in it. But Primitive style knives and other primitive stuff isnt something Ive ever seen used as a gimmick nor is it anything to avoid. Its very interesting to see primitive tools IMO.

Vampire, Primitive, twilight, Primal, Mall-Ninja, Hard Use, Tactical, Shovel, Zombie, and Apocalypse are mine and yet I still end up posting in these threads.

;):D

...but they're so very, very popular, because it seems like everybody and his brother is all over the primitive-brvtal-primal-emergency-tactical-nuclear-zombie-survival-WROL-hog-chopper idiocy these days.

Whatever, derppers gonna derp.

I like primitive knives.

I like Zombies.

I kind of like Derp. Not as much as I like HerfDerf, but you can't have it all.

But, I also like chopping stuff up with knives.

Not a big fan of tactical as much.

I was out today looking for some 12-GA. personal protection buckshot. I noticed that Hornady made a Zombie Killer load with toxic on the box.

I went out with this girl the other night, she seemed like a zombie during dinner, but was primal in the bedroom.

I imagine it got downright primitive...I would have had to go with a tactical camo condom. :foot:

Well, we went off the rails already, so I can shove my oar in!

Philosophically, and maybe psychologically, the zombie/tactical school of thought is an outgrowth of preparedness, which is the subtext (justification?) for at least some of our cutlery enthusiasm.

Do we need $800 knives? No.

Do we need to collect 200 knives, or all the colors of Paramilitary? No.

Do we need to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse? No.

But we do.

Anyone posting for "best" or "ultimate" knife (or pretty much everything) is an identifier to me of someone who doesn't really get it. Everything is subjective, especially since tools only perform at the level of an individual's skill level.

For me its "CHEAP HARD KNIFE FOLDER" all in caps. I don't click on those anymore, they normally irritate me.
