with primeval themes ...

Yees, she is superb, im going let engrave, from Vlada, my Spyderco Military ..:) pic on the blade, by my idea...
 
If this is not etching it would be referred to as engraving. Scrimshaw is done on materials like ivory, antler, whale teeth and bone.

It also doesn't appear to be a primeval or primative knife. It does look very nice though.

and i think she's referring to the motif...but i must say that is very very beautiful work :).

That is so cool the way the engraving on the guard flows into the scrimshaw on the handle. Very nice!

I'm not a big scrimshaw fan, but like RogerP said, the transition between the engraving and scrimshaw looks amazing!
