Primitive D-Guard Dueling Bowie In-Progress Pics.

The profile is done. Just finished forming the D-guard and building
the bolsters and pommel. I made cutouts for 1/4" nuts in the tang
in case I decide to use machine srews to attach the scales.
The blade catchers are also attached. Now it'll get smoothed out
some and ready for beveling.

These are pics. form the 1st. primitive d-guard dueling bowie blank I made.
It was going to be a heavy bladed bolo or cutlass but changed it's mind
along the path.

I would like to see someone making knives like Eight Dollar Mountain Forge. Please share your photos of the finished knife, I am sure there is a lot of interest in this style of blade.
