Ready for a sheath.
It's 18. 1/4" overall and weighs 33.5 oz.
The blade is 1095 spring steel 12. 7/8" X 2. 1/4" X 1/4" thick (3/8" at the catchers).
The handle is 5. 1/16" long with scales of lightly darkened Curly Maple.
It balances about 1. 3/4" forward of the guard which is about where I aim for on
big knives.
It feels real good in hand.
I know the actual "sandbar" knife was more than likely a plain butchers knife but I
picture something more along these lines when I think of Jim Bowie in that fight.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

Gentlemen.....I have the very first one of these and it is just a wonderful blade!! Balance is perfect, craftsmanship is spot-on and while I haven't taken the head off a horse yet......you could certainly do so if a zombie horse came within sniffing distance!! Great blade and a great maker.......
