I jumped through the roof when I saw this one...

Check this out folks! It's gonna be one of the hottest ones for memebers of this forum. Not just flintknapping, but how you can use junk metal in the field, make your own forge, etc., and make really cool knives! Click on this link for a preview and photos...

Sorry Ron and Karen, if I am premature in letting the cat out of the bag...

Brian.

Thanks Brian, that is a real neat thing!
Total primitive/ancient blade smithing! Most of us can easily turn any good steel knife into metal crap practically. Credit to these guys (Tai Goo and Tim Lively) for doing the exact opposite: turning crap metal into fine cutlery and even jewelry with primitive tools. Once I was told that a real atrist can even paint with poop, a bad one can't even with the best oil paint.
Gentlemen, check it out yourself how to turn botle caps and cast iron into Damascus in your backyard: http://www.expage.com/page/neotribalmetalsmiths http://www.photoloft.com/album.asp?s=xpag&u=125774&a=128735
