Hi Guys,
There is a small leather shop (maybe about 10 employees) in the little mountain town of Nelson in the Kootenay Mountains of SW British Columbia. It's called Popov Leather, and the only leather that they use is Horween's classic "chromacel" leather. For everything. All hand-sewn to order ...
I have some of their stuff and it is gorgeous. A great website, and tons more fun videos on YouTube ...
They have all kinds of products available ... typically available in your choice of four Horween leather colours. You can also specify the colour of the thread ... the best in the world ... I like the cream colour. They produce three kinds of watch straps ... Zulu and "normal two-piece" and Apple ... and you can choose from two colours of hardware. $45US ($60CAN) is a fair price itself ... but I notice that right now they have an unusual "buy two and get one more free" deal going-on. Which basically lowers the price to $30 each ...
Available in the usual three lug widths.
Google it. The website is a delight, and a treasure-trove of info.
Incidentally, I first learned about that made-in-Chicago-since-1905 Horween leather on the Long Island Watch website. I bought a dressy watch-strap in black padded calfskin from them about a year ago. Love it ...
