Well his daddy is Colonel in Chief of the Gurkhas! ;) :D :rolleyes:

4 days on an exercise doesnt a Gurkha make though!

Might just be good public relations, but the impression I get of those two young men is that they have a good sense of balance between duty and entitlement.

From what I gather of Prince Harry he is serious about military life, they should of let him go to Iraq. It would have been a safer mission then what his uncle? did (the helicopter pilot).
 
Prince Harry is first and foremost a soldier - treat him like one. Don't let the fact that he is third in line to the British throne deter the British High Command from doing just that.

Harry is soldiering, go where they point you, hurry up and wait.
SAS qualification is done in the Brecons, wonder if he will be some sort of SAS/Ghurka super soldier by week's end?

But that would have been rather unfair on the rest of whatever squad he was attached to, as his presence would concentratrate the enemy's attention.
 
Do you "become a Ghurka" in a 4-day training exercise....NOT. Do you become a military leader by avoiding going to Iraq....NOT. Lets just hope he dosent cut himself with those sharp knives.
 
Is this the same Prince who dressed up like a Nazi for a costume party, and who violated orders and safety rules on a prior military training exercise?

The Royals are pampered, spoiled, and living in some sort of fantasy world. A drill instructor who dared to raise his voice to this brat would see his military career effectively over in short order.

I wonder how many medals he has already?

Hi Tsimi - I think that is what everyone else says about the two of us - ¥vsa included.

Besides, I think we are in good company in this thread along with Prince Harry - when you have 2 Harrys in the thread, it is sure to be a "Harry" time.;) :D :D :D
