Hello all,

My first buck knife was a model that I recall was named "prince". This must have been purchased for me somewhere between '77-'80 by my father. I seem to recall it had brown micarta handles (at least I know it wasn't wood). Unfortunately, being a not very responsible boy, I lost it about a year later.

My question is, for the sake of reminescence, where can I find a knife just like the one I lost and how much would it cost me?

thanks for any answers.

I have a new (99) 503 Prince and love it. You might watch Ebay or some other auctions for one like you lost. Also knife shows. We have a big flea market in our area each Labor Day where there is about any kind of knife you could want. Hope you find one.

I checked the Buck catalog, and see they still make the prince. Looks like they use some kind of wood nowadays. What i'd really like to find, for nostalgias sake, is a vintage prince just like the one I lost. Not only was it my first Buck knife, it was my very first knife period, and I've been addicted since.

I have some new ones just like the one you lost. Each year for the past 35 years, I put away a couple of each model of most of the Buck's made. If you want one contact me directly at: vtaylor@orland.net
