Anbody tried these? I was about to trigger a buy on the Impact II but then saw the Attitude. The Attitude states 30 lumens brightness for 150 hrs, the Impact II puts out 7 lumens for 75hrs.

But the Impact II has the "proprietary focused beam". Does this make for a brighter narrrow beam than the Attitude?

EDIT: I added the Maglite XL50. In my research I came across it and it looks tough to beat. Anybody got one?

I've had the Attitude for 6-7 years. It's not bright. You're not going to light up the whole yard/ camp ground. But it will run forever and a day on one set of batteries. It will run forever, period. I've had plenty of lights that were brighter, looked cooler, had better reputations- but I still have the Princeton Tec. It's the cheap little light that could.

I have both however the Attitude I have is the older model which is less bright than the current Attitude. I like the more powerful concentrated beam of the Impact II better than the softer flood of the Attitude. The Attitude is better for around the campsite or house use but the Impact II is better for trying to find stuff at a distance.

Princeton Tec also has a great warranty and will repair or exchange the lights if you have a problem. I had the Attitude replaced under warranty when it stopped working after about 4 years.

I purchased mine through Brightguy.com as well as several other lights and Brightguy's service was great.

I'm looking for a backup flashlight for backpacking. I usually use a headlamp light, but like to have a spare light. Sounds like the Impact II would suit me better.

I found another I might be interested in. Ive had several Maglites and have always been pleased with them. I found a Maglite XL50 that's not too much more than the Impact II. But this light puts out 104 lumens for 9 hours, and at 25% power runs for 36 hrs. Sounds good.
