Just a heads up, anyone looking for a top quality flashlight..for UNDER $20 take a look at the Princeton Tec Tec 20 or 40 4AA halogen flashlights with 4 watts power or the Surge which is 8 watts but still a 4AA. I have all of these and they're unbelievable, I've flung them on rocks by mistake, you name it, just little scratches to show for it..and they're plastic!

Their new ones are the Attitude which is an LED 4AAA and the Impact which is an LED 4AA. I just bought the Impact and love it. They say the burn time is 150 hours plus on both of them so I'll see, but I don't doubt it as they are LEDs.

Just a correction - the Tec20 is 2AA, the Tec40 is 4AA, and the Surge is 8AA. I agree - the lights are an excellent value - you get a ton of output for a reasonable price. Also check out the Blast (2AAA) and Rage (4AAA) - great lights & very small. PT's headlights are very nice as well (I currently use the Solo). Nice to be able to switch out standard bulb for halogen, or to swap out the reflectors. PT puts out some nice stuff - definitely worth a look.

suits me just fine. Mine's taken a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. It's been at work daily and in the truck when not at work and has lasted all winter on one set of lithium AA's. No appreciable loss of lighting as far as I can tell, either. Great light for $20.
