printable copy

I may be computer illiterate, but when I want to copy a thread. I press the print button on my computer. I get www.bladeforums ok at the top, but the thread comes out in hieroglyphics ( numbers and letters). This occurs even with the printable version. What am I doing wrong?
 
If you look towards the bottom of the thread, there's a link that says "Show a printable version"

Try that.
 
I tried both the thread itself and the printable version at the bottom. I know its not my printer. I can successfully copy my e-mails.
 
I'm sure it's not your printer. Now that I think about it, this sounds more like a print driver problem, or a configuration in your Internet Browser.

Does anything else on your computer print funny?
 
You should post this in the Service and Support forum. Spark will be more likely to see it there and might have an idea as to what is wrong.
 
I'm moving this to the Service & Support forum, but as far as I know that hasn't been fixed yet -- it's a known bug. It's an issue of compatibility with Netscape; if you can bring yourself to use a different browser when you want to print out a thread it'll work ... there might be other workarounds, too; I don't remember ... but it won't work with Netscape. Sorry ... the vBulletin people are working on it....
