I have been watching the for sale forums here and elsewhere... interesting how some knives sell almost right away and others take months.

So in order of priority which of the no-longer-made models would you all like to have? This of course includes the E-series, straight handles, and short runs made over the last few years.

Better yet we should work on a homeless Busse network so that all the need to be sold knives can find homes faster!

If I could specify any discontinued Busse I could buy right now, I think that it would be a used/user Steel Heart 1 at a reasonable price. The Steel Heart 1 I have now is too pristine and too pricey to be anything but a safe queen, but the size, design, etc. just begs to be used.

i agree with mike, sh1's are a sweet knife. when you hold it, it, it feels like a woman, just the right size, warm, firm yet soft, curves that just won't quit. beauty beyond compare, steel, white like your teeth, the talon holes close yet far enough apart not to mess things up if you slip. sticky but easy to release if you need a drink. sharp as a tack yet forgiving if you drop her for a day or two.
and when she gets bloody she's doesn't change, she stays true to her moods and stands by your side.
aahhhhhh, for the love of a sh1.... mamories, just thinking of her make me want to whack something down

If I wasn't in High School when it was offered for $560.00, I would have to say the American Kensei, mmmmmmmmmmmmm Busse Sword.

Darkjedi goes back to cutting pool noodles with his Black Wind Katana, dreaming of a Busse Sword.:D

Yeah...a user Steel Heart I would be cool, along with a safe queen to keep it company. Also an old user Badger Attack would be cool. Hmmmmmmm so many hard to say, I could go on for hours. :D

Mike, just wait for the new NO! If you like the size and everything, you will get one of these and beat the living hell out of it! That way, there is no guilty feeling for giving a good and proper thrashing.

Looks like the older Busse's hold a 'warm fuzzy' place in a lot of hearts here. I have that as well, the newer stuff has its place but theres something special about those with a bit more hand finishing. I guess it makes each one unique. In todays cookie cutter stuff its nice to handle some hand crafted goodness. Heh, but I am biased, I dont use that many machines in my work, only a belt sander and drill press. The rest is done by hand. No sewing machines for me!:D

I'll take an original Argonne Assault and a couple customized SH1s;)

I agree that a user SH1 would be awesome too!

Uncle Screwtape's Behemoth

Dragon Fang

Flying Tiger

Flying Badger

an early INFI Badger Attack

an early Battle Mistress

several of the unique variants

None of you guys have mentioned the Pepper Shaker (my EDC pocket knife), but if you experienced one and knew what you were missing, it would be on a lot of your lists.

There's an old rounded pommel SHSH with a scalloped spine and clip point out there that I missed once and I'm still kicking myself over it:grumpy:

I'd like to round up -

1) The other 2 Bird & Trouts, that will give me all 3,

2) The other 4 tan LMSs, that will give me all 7,

3) a couple items that "squatch hogs" have that we've never seen...
;) :D

Yeah, how many of them have "outrageous (French) accents" and say "We already got one, you see"....

I'd like to have the Blade Babe Special! I hear there is only one in exsistence!!!:D

I was looking for Nuclear Steel Hearts, (Steel Hearts w/ Flying handles) and they were nowhere to be found (outside Skunker or Porkerson's house) The quest will continue but hope for success is still low...

Pro: You are right. I held the new NO and Skunk's Steel Heart 1 side by side at Blade '03. They are very similar in size and balance.

Oh...nothing much....Knight Light with mirror polish and ironwood...THE WEDDING KNIFE...the rumored forged INFI blade...the INFI/S90V/Angel Dust Damascus Recurve Fighter
