Well, it's time for me to get serious....... :barf:

I just sold my dreamcar, so I could have more room in my shop, and money for tools, etc.
making knives for a living seems a heck of alot more fun that tooling around on a saturday after a week of working with/for some jerk.
Bye Bye..dream car....

Now it's time for a serious dust collector..and maybe one of those cool vibratory tumblers !!!! :D

Well, you must be serious about making! Yep, I can see what's coming. After some new equipment, it's going to be time to enlarge the shop. S.S., I didn't scare ya, did I? That's some real commitment,S. Good luck with your adventure.

..the shop is already 32'x48'...I have no room to go bigger. just have to build another building :)

I'm with the elf here, man that hurts. I think I could have come up with anouther vehicle to sell first!

Looks like your serious though, and I know where your coming from. I'm a hair's breath away from going full time myself just to keep from choking the idiots around me, even if it ment starving.

It does suck to give sell it..it's kinda like part of the family.
But I've had some goals set for myself, and it's time I get my ass in gear.
I've been told that if you go about things half assed--you get half assed results.
Time to "cowboy up" as a friend of mine used to say, and get serious.

i woulda sold an arm and a leg instead of the car, you only need one of each to drive it! but how would you grind blades with only one arm? if you can figure that out your set! now go get the hacksaw, and get your car back!

Congratulations!. With your dedication and sacrifice, I'm sure a lot of great knives will be coming out of your new shop.
Dave

I know how you feel. It would be like me selling my 1947 Indian Chief. :( :(
If I did that I would have to get rid of all my Indian Tattoos too.  :D

Well all I can say is, that's commitment! Looks like my dream car too, only I never had it and never will. I got my tools and stuff instead, and really never looked back. Maybe I'll get lucky with a lottery ticket some day and have my cake and eat it too but meanwhile it's the real world for me. Good luck in your new career!

Sounds like you've got the right mindset. Determination is the key to success in knifemaking, IMHO. Good luck and hopefully you'll sell enough knives to buy another car like that. :D

If you are willing to give up one big dream for a second, then the second must be a bigger dream/goal for you. Time limits the number of things that we can do, as you have alluded to. If you are serious enough and determined enough to make such a sacrifice, you WILL be successful in your new endeavor. I am sure that we are all looking forward to seeing your work in the future.

nice car, man......sad to see it go, I'm sure. I don't think I could part with mine. You've "cowboyed up" for sure. Hope you got some good $$$ for it. Plenty to start a good knife shop!

It's a nickname that was given to me over 30 years ago because all I rode was my Indain Motorcycle and the Indian Tattoo's on my arms. :D
