I would appreciate comments and suggestions concerning the Pro Grip SS, combo.

I own the Wegner Jr. in ATS-34, it is my EDC knife. Now I have the opportunity to buy here the Pro Grip SS, combo, VG-10, which I could, perhaps, rotate with the Wegner Jr. in the same role.

How would you compare these two small, but sturdy knives? I guess that, having the SS handle and front lock the Pro Grip should have the lock as strong or even stronger then the Wegner jr.'s liner lock. Provided the Grip were not behind the Wegner Jr. concerning the strength and sturdiness, I would finally decide when I get it in hands.

Thanks,

Franco

From what I can tell(had the wegner jr CE, and traded it):

The pro-grip & pro-ven have been staples in the spyderco lineup, while the c48 & c49 only lasted a short time(due to ELU response I beleive).

The main question isn't rather the lock is any better, but if SS is what you want. I only have 1 model in full SS, the c28. Both a beater and an engraved version of it(both PE). SS needs the extra grip on it(thus the kraton inlays), but still is a bit&#99h to hold when wet or greasy.

I got rid of the wegner jr due to lack of use. It was great in the kitchen, but had little use in EDC b/c of the tip. Some ppl might not like it due to the smaller amount of either edge in the short blade.
