No surprise that I love the production series of Fiddlebacks. This is nothing against the beautiful customs, it's just that I really focus more on users now, especially in bad or unknown conditions outside. I had for a short time a custom Hiking Buddy and liked the size a lot. So now I have a pro-HB on the way from Andy. This should be a really nice small knife for quick short outings. Can't wait to post up some pics over the next few weekends. If you haven't checked out or held a knife from this series, you're really missing out.

Nice choice. get one of Rick's leather wrapped kydex sheath for it.

good idea!

I will second that sheath notion. Those hybrids are awesome!!

I'm typically a fan of black over natural, but the natural ages so well so it's a tough call.

I've got a bushcraft puukko version of the production hiking buddy on the way as well (for many of the same reasons you mentioned). Can't wait to get out and start using it! I went with the natural micarta.

Man, I can't thank y'all enough for your support. Bob, these threads are making me very happy!
