I'm always wondering how to correctly pronounce some of the knife-related terms I see on the forums. Here's a starter list of my questions. Feel free to chime in with your own questions (or answers!).
Busse: Bus-E?
Camillus: Cah-mi-lus? (emphasis on second syllable)
Victorinox: Vick-tor-i-nocks? (emphasis on second syllable)
Fairbairn: Fare-baren? (emphasis on first syllable)
Muela: Mew-lah? (emphasis on first syllable)
Kydex: Kye-dex? (emphasis on first syllable)
Bowie: Boe-wee? (emphasis on first syllable)
Mokume: I have no idea on this one, folks!
0170-6c: How do you say this? Something like 5160 is easy, "fifty-one-sixty", but steels like 0170-6c or Z60CDV14 I just don't get. They don't exactly roll off the tongue.
And is it just me, or does the phrase "A2 tool steel" make you sound like you're stuttering?
