Have you guys seent the Pro-tech Brend collaboration? I like the looks from pics. Has anyone seen one up close and personal?

From the Pro-tech website:

"All Elite Combat Daggers feature a 154-CM blade that is precision heat treated to 59-60RC. The blade is just under 6 inches long and .175 thick. We offer a variety of blade finishes and handle options."

I've handled one - maple burl handle and two-tone finish. They are excellent knives. I say that purely based on the dumb looking grin that spread across my face when I held that thing. It's been a little while, but here's what I recall - very nice grain on the wood, with no flaws whatsoever where the handle scales met the exposed tang. It's a very simple handle, but I thought it was very comfortable. On the two-tone version, the transition between coating and satin finish was extremely sharp - the boundary was perfectly straight, with no imperfections in the coating along the border of the transition. Another notable thing was how sharp it was for a dagger - I was easily shaving thin paper (think newsprint) with the knife. The lack of a real guard bothered, me though. All in all, the only thing stopping me from getting two was the price. Oh, and the sheath doesn't do it justice. It's a flimsy looking rectangular nylon rig, with a kydex insert. Disappointing for a knife of this caliber, to say the least. If you can afford it, buy one. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you appreciate a fine dagger.
