Prob with new benchmade

I just got my first benchmade a couple hours ago But unfortunatly there seems to be a couple black smudges on the blade i can't get off, anyone know how to deal with these? (It's a RSK grippy)

PS. I'll try and get a pic of it up tonight.

IF they are not actually part of the steel, Nevr-dull will take them out. If that doesn't work, they're probably the same kind of marks I have on my balisongs. They're little patches on the blade where the light reflects differently. I have no idea why, but they came that way and don't bother me much.

OWW I btw just did the time honoured tradition I have with knives.. cutting myself while playng with em theres a little piece of my middle finger I'll never get back

I may be pointing out the obvious, but did you try to wipe the blade with a little WD-40 or some other oil?

Try a pencil eraser or a solvent like nail-varnish remover
