was a little bummed to open this up and have to squint my eyes at the blurry logo... appears to be a ghosting issue with an extra line... laser looks like it was lined up fine for the text on the blade but not the spider... anyone else notice this on Golden knives? It almost looks like it could be intentional, but I hope not... I wish all of them could look as good as the Taiwan logos.

also, there's a rounded corner (hard to make out in pics) on one side of the blade where the flat part of the spine meets the jimping. Probably just QC issues... but it's odd since I had a factory second Native 5 that didn't have any discernible issues. Picky, I know, but I'm among friends, right?

I just posted about a PM2 asking if it's a fake. Is that a dragonfly?
 
Just looked at an S110V Forum version, black FRN S35VN Lightwieght, and CC#d S35VN one that started out life with G-10 scales and now sports Mexican Ebony. All 3 "bugs" look pretty much like yours.
 
Thanks Deacon, I couldn't remember what my old forum one looked like, but this bug definitely stood out to me as soon as I opened it. Everything else fit and finish wise seems legit, but having handled some pretty convincing fakes as of late... and possibly the fact that I'm running on 2 hours sleep has me paranoid
 
just wondering if anyone else has one like this they wouldn't mind putting up a pic of. I contacted the seller but after his initial response of "got it right from Spyderco" I haven't heard back
 
I have the same model in my shop right now. Bug looks the same and it has the same rounded spot at the end of the jimping. You're good.
