Problem after changing my email address (Chris Mapp)

Luckily I was able to remember the username and password on my old account..Anyway, I changed the email on my other account's profile (username: Chris Mapp), to an address with gmail. After that, it sent me to a screen saying I didn't have sufficient privileges to post or that my account may have been disabled or may be waiting for activation.

I've checked my gmail account, but have yet to recieve any confirmation emails from bladeforums.com. Right now, I can't even get to the user CP on my other account to try a different email address. Help!

Chris,
I think BF is having a bit of a problem with sending email right now, that's probably why you haven't received any confirmation emails.

I think the server mail is down right now, we're trying to get it working again

Hey huugh,

Neither one of these is really an alias screenname. This is my old account, that I was surprised to find was still active. I seem to remember asking for it to be deleted, but it seems I was mistaken. Looks like I was lucky that it wasn't.

I don't have the slightest problem with it.
IMHO mods or Spark himself are those who you should discuss with

Problem after changing my email address...
I had the exact same problem (as "Don Luis").

I hope I did not do wrong, at first I did not understand what was happening and tried registering again (as "I'm Don Luis"), which did not work since I could not get the email to complete registration.

Then I found this thread by lurking around without login in, waited until I saw a post about the mail server being up and tried to come back without success, tried to reset my password to see if it would cause reactivation, which did not work either.

Finally I decided to register again so that I could post, now I wonder if the old user name can be reactivated or if I should just keep on using the new one.

I apologize if it was wrong to register again, sorry I could not think of another way to solve the problem.

Luis

Trolls often use multiple accounts to try to fool people, but you're not trying to fool anybody.
