Problem ordering from PCKS

I just tried placing an order with PCKS -- red bone scales, nickel bolsters, BG-42 blade. Anyway, the checkout process kept failing with and HTTP request error while trying to process the credit card transaction. It was apparent it wasn't able to really connect to a server, since the error returned in a fraction of a second after hitting the checkout button. I guess I'll have to phone the order in.

Had the same problem awhile ago & will eventually phone my order in also. At first I thought my credit card was no good but it was OK with all my other purchases! :D

Same thing happened with me. If I get motivated, I'll call one in, otherwise I'll just try again in a few weeks. ;)

They appear to be using a bogus certificate, i.e. not one issued by one of the various certificate providers but one they made up themselves. If they're presenting that to the credit card company, they're probably not going to like it, either. Could be why the requests keep failing. No proof they're really who they say they are.

Sorry about the problems folks. We are in the process of re-doing the custom shoppe as we speak. The site had a couple of flat tires so we decided it was time to trade her in! We also decided, with input from our customers, to make it less glitzy with more models offered. The alternative was to keep it how it was with only the Folding Hunter. Right now we are hoping to have it going by mid June. I say that knowing it is a computer project and Murphy is alive and well.
In the meantime, you can still call in an order. We did just get another phone line for the store so hopefully you can get through without a lot of effort.
Take care,

So I am assuming that means you will be offering more models? Which models will also be offered in PCKS? Are these available now through phone order, or will we only be able to place orders for these after the website opens?

thanks!

Brian

Joe has teased us with that before!

Glad the shop is getting updated - that interface has been more troublesome than any computer project should ever be.

Now, D2 steel, S30V, 112's, custom Big Sky's or Vanguards (sorry, don't really care for the alpha's), 560 style handles for 110's, Custom 500's, what else can we talk him into??

Oh my, a custom Vanguard... <sheds a tear> That would be a beautifull thing! :)

That's OK folsom that you don't care for the Alpha series - some of us do and a slight drool :p about a Elk Handled 279 with S30V will be easily wiped away....:D :D

Of course, a Mirror Polished 500 with Water Buffalo Horn, or a Big Sky with some nice Diamondwood also causes the mouth to water...

THANKS JOE !!!!! ;)

Right now phone orders are only for the 110. I know we are considering the Vanguard and Zipper, and the Alphas. I know i am on thin ice making promises, especially when computers are between me and my word. :footinmou
Pretty frustrating. (Soapbox securely stored until next time) I am excited about the new models too! :D
Take care,
