Hi

Yesterday I was trying to post a new thread in Knife Makers for sale forum sub forum fixed blade. I was eventually able to get enough stuff up on the post where it made some sense. Every time I would try to post or preview the page would time out. Checked with the Mod's and they suggested posting a few words then going back in and editing the post with the rest of it. That sort of worked part of the time. Some times it would take it sometimes not. It did not seem to make any difference how long the post was it either took it immediately or it would time out. Extremely frustrating. Like I said after about 3 hours of trying I was able to get enough up on the tread so it sort of made sense but in no way was written the way it should have been. Was up and back with one of the Mod's and he suggested logging out and making sure cookies were turned off then logging in. Did that as well with the same results. Really hope some one looks into this and comes up with a solution. It was pretty obvious by the lack of new threads in the forum that I was not the only one seeing this. Suggestions or strategies?

What device/browser.

The timing out issue comes and goes for me, sometimes it seems to be thread/post specific other times its random. I'm on an iphone and I find restarting (not just closing) my browser can help some, other times not at all and there's nothing I can do on my end.

Devise is an ASUS laptop browser is usually Chrome. The browser possibility occurred to me as well switched to Firefox with the same results.

Saw the site was down today so I guess you folks saw some of the same problems I was seeing. Seems OK now much faster than yesterday. I will post something in the same forum I was having trouble with tomorrow and see what happens. If it is a problem I will get back to you.

Thank you, Was not complaining. Having worked building and maintaining web site in the early years of the web I just remember that often I would not see a problem till someone pointed it out. Usually that was someone looking at the site. Good luck I am sure you will find the problem and fix it. Thanks, Ken

I'm having no problems starting threads, posting in threads, search has been repaired. I'd suggest an alternate browser, run updates to check if your current browser is the latest and greatest version. Clear your browser cookies/cache and give it another shot.
