problem sharpening

i have a para 2 and i can get the middle to the tip of the blade hair shaving but the rear portion i cant. how can i fix this? I have a fine bench stone, 1000 grit bench stone and a strop

You may have to use a rod type of sharpener to reach the point due to the curvature.

it's easier to form an edge on the straight portion. you need to practice sharpening more.

i suggest using a sharpie marker to blacken the edge bevel, then as you sharpen you'll be able to see what you're missing on the edge from the curve to the tip. good luck.

And I'll add that you may need a coarser stone to speed up the process.
 
You have to make sure you rock the blade while keeping an even pressure across the entire surface of the blade.
