Problem staying logged on !!!!

I am having problems staying logged on. All too often I have to re-log-in when moving about the forum, sending a message, or accessing a BFC user's contact info. I have made certain that my browser will accept first party cookies. I was also informed that somewhere in the User CP that you can make certain that BFC cookies are accepted, but I have been unable to locate it. Any/all suggestions will be appreciated.
 
There might be a timeout feature within your browser beyond allowing or disallowing cookies. What browser are you using?
 
I am using IE 6.0 with XP Pro SP2. How do you check your time out setting. If this is the case mine must be set very short. Thank you for your suggestion / help!
 
I can't help you with IE, I only use Mozilla, which has some timeout features for cookies. I assumed maybe IE would have the same. If it does, it'd be in the Options menu.

BTW, when you log in, there's the box that says "Remember me?" Make sure this is checked, or every time you come back you'll have to log in again. I don't know if it'd affect it even if you've still got a page open where you're logged in, but it might.
 
Sometimes cookies get corrupted. You might have to delete all cookies. If you tell us what browser you're using we can probably walk you through it, but it's not hard to figure out for yourself.
 
Clearing your cookies in IE

1. Open IE

2. Tools>Delete Cookies>Hit OK when the new screen pops up.

3. Go back and hit Delete Files> Check off "Delete all offline content?"

4. Restart IE
 
Thank you, Planterz, Cougar Allen, and K.C. Collucci! :) Your collective tips have solved the problem! :cool: It must have been a "cookie issue" and I now have a fresh cookie resulting in ease of browsing the BF! :D
