problem when registering???

hi when i went to register my email address came up as banned when i have never been on the forums, currently i'm registered with an email i rarely use but i thought i'd ask why my email would be banned when i've never been on here let alone posted.

i got told by some nice fellows on SFI to email admin but the emails came back un-delivered so the email address is either down or not being used anymore, could an admin or someone possibly PM me or email and i'll send my email thats showing up banned to you so you can see why it would do this as i'd prefer to be registered with my regular email.

Hotmail, right? Hotmail addresses are banned from Bladeforums (and large parts of the net) because hotmail (owned by Microsoft) is notoriously uncooperative in dealing with abusers. You can use www.yahoo.com or any of the thousands of other anonymous mail providers; only hotmail is banned.

thanks for that, i'm using yahoo for this now and just wondered why this happened. thanks a lot .
