Just bought a 204 from Bayou. Got delivered just last week. Super product. It really works as advertised!. But I have a problem with the one of the white ceramic sticks. It is nicked (cracked, broken?)in a few places in the corners. I got the package in sealed plastic packaging. Discovered the faults when drawing the knife down on the hone, it hangs a few times on the way. Took a closer look in bright light and there it is. There are at least 5 nicks on one corner.

Sending the cera back would be out of the question because of the cost involved. But I already purchased spare ceramics, one of the white and one of the grey. So please let me know what can be done.

By the way I have the a police model in GIN-1 steel. Just love the knife. Have had it for at least 8 years.

Hi Kevtan. Welcome to the Spyderco forum. Please email your mailing address to my asistant, Olive (drapero@AOL.com). Also let her know if one or both of the ceramics have those nicks.

thanks for the reply. I am unable to get to a computer for the time being. Will email later.

Thanks.

I had those little nicks in my 204 sticks shortly after I got them. As I recall it was just the white ones on the corners. Not sure but think they formed right after I first used them. I just ignored the problem will no ill effect. They are seemingly gone now. Spyderco obviously will give you different ones, but I really dont think it effects the sharpening ability of the 204.
