I was cleaning my Fallkniven DC4 sharpener with warm water and dish soap and in the process the diamond plate came off the ceramic backing. I was wondering if anyone had an idea on what would be a good glue to use so this wont happen again, thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.

Boy, that is a first.

Hope mine wont have a similar issue.

I'd probably go the jell "super glue" or 2-ton epoxy route if it happened (or happens) to me.

Usually a small packet of these adhesives can be had for a couple of bucks.

I've wondered if there are fakes of these sharpeners out there (starting a rumour, I guess), since there has been a rather large price drop of late.

I don't think it's fake, it came with the black sheath and in a Fallkniven box. The one thing I am wondering about though is mine does not have the little hole in the diamond plate like the ones you see on Fallknivens website, maybe I just got a older version.

I've seen both versions (hole and no-hole) and the boxed versus the plastic sleeve/envelope differences.

When I saw differences in a product years ago, I thought of production changes. Today, I wonder about fakes.
