Problem with EDC washers

Hi, I got an EDC about a month ago. The first time I sharpened it, while I was stroping I guess I pressed too hard or something, but the washers are compressed, so there is blade play. Also when it is closed the blade hangs off to one side. The washers look sort of like this:

Smunched down at the outside. The guys at my local knife shop said they've had a few of them back in because of this.

Is it possible to get a set of replacement washers? I don't want to send it in because they said it would take about 2 months.

Its hard to visualize[even with your neat illustration] whats hapeing here, but I don't think that this is a washer issue. If you have excessive blade play, and tightening the pivot screw hasn't helped, we will be happy to take care of it for you, and for something as simple as this, there is no way it should take 2 months.
