my 15 yr old son saved up his money and purchased a new strongarm. Knife came super sharp and already opened. Very strong lockup and blade is centered well. Only trouble is, we cannot figure how to fold it so he can carry it in his pocket ! They designed the knife so well that you can’t even see the pivot, so I hope it never needs any adjusting. Locking mechanism must be all internal, in the handle ??? We are a bit stumped..... any help on this ???

April fool's right ;);)

To fold this fixed blade knife you simply put it in it's sheath.

I don't know what you're talking about. The Strongarm will indeed fold up. It just requires a big enough hydraulic press.

If that is true, that is a bit unsettling. I do not have a press like you have suggested. I guess he will have to use this blade as is.

It's for the best, honestly. Once you get it folded shut, that pivot is kinda sticky. It's a bit of a nail-breaker to get it back open.

Thanks for the help guys. It did pass the spine whack test no trouble !

I sent an e-mail to Gerber and they said that my knife was operating as designed.
Said it was their new Kotai-hen lock that is the same lock the Japanese have used on swords for centuries.
