Problem with Starmate

Hey everyone. I've been carrying a Starmate for about a month and to everyone looking to buy one I highly recommend it. It's a great design for both utility and defense and CPM 440v is an amazing steel compared to ats-34 and the like. My problem is with the clip. After just normal pocket carry its become bent out. It does not feel secure enough to carry for fear of loosing it. Is there any way I can get a new clip? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

When that happened to mine, I simply unscrewed the three screws holding it on, took two pairs of pliers, grabbed the clip inm the appropriate places and bent it back into the appropriate shape. I put a tine touch of Loc-Tite onto the threads of each screw before I put it back into the scale and tightened them down very gently. It has held and worked like a charm ever since. The original problem was that I am very heavy and the clip had caught on the steering wheel of my Ford Escort as I was clambering into it. It is a tight fit for one of my size with arthritis. I would not buy a car that small at this point, but it is 15 years old, so I can't complain.

Yep...that'll work. I have a vise in the garage, so that was how I did it...judiciously put one end of the clip in the vise (between leather or cardboard or something to prevent scratches), and have a go at it. A little extra bend is all it takes...go slowly.
