Problem with Strider

Hellow,
I just recieved a New Buck/Strider folder and am having problems with the Liner lock properly engaging. Once the blade is in the locked position all that needs to be done to disengage it is to lay the secondary edge on a hard surface and apply a little presure on the top of the handle. The lock just springs back not totally but enough to cause the blade to move not side to side but foward and back. Any one else have this problem ?
Can it be corrected or does it need to be sent back. Truly a hard use knife but this lock thing is disturbing.
Any help from you guys would be greatfull.
Thanks

send it back.where ever you got it,send it back.any dealer (or manufacturer) worth their salt will replace or repair it. i dont think you will have a problem.

I have two of these and neither one has any problems with the lockup. I think you may have gotten a lemon. Return it.

Your knife is Guaranteed by the factory. Call customer service at Buck Knives and they will tell you where to send it for repair or replacement.

By all means, send it back to Buck and we will take a look at it for you. I have not heard of any having this type of problem and we certainly would like the chance to fix yours. This would, of course, be covered under the warrantee.
Send the knife to me at:

First time I have ever heard of a problem with that folder. That's one big honkin, heavy duty folder!

No complaints, this is a bad folder.
Buck service is top notch. Thanks

Glad to hear you got the knife back and are happy with it. Now if you need instructions on how to fillet a tank, let me know!
