I just noticed that the tang pin in my 42 is loose and sliding back and forth. You can imagine how scared and upset i got, i think a tear even began to form in my eye...oh, sorry, so anyway, WHAT DO I DO???

Sounds like a trip to the BM warranty dept. it the answer to your problem. Just email angie and tell her your problem, she will get you hooked up. But if mine comes loose, I'll be pissed. I mean, the list price is higher than some custom bali's you can get, and therefore shouldn't be having that problem, especially considering how long they have been out.

true, i agree, and especially for the price...and i really dont even manipulate it as much as i would like to, but these things happen....just as long as it doesnt happen to my first-pro run

I know exactly how you feel. My tang pin on my 42 is loose and can rattle around a bit. I plan to send it in to BM eventually, but I want something to flip for now.

This has been a problem. I have experienced it myself. The best solution is to return it to BM. Their service is prompt and free. Among other things, they need the feedback to see where they have problems.

Since i live an ocean across BM, is there a way to fix it myself if ever this problem happens to my BM42's?

When I install the tang pins in the balis I make, I 'upset' the pin, meaning I take a SHARP center-punch and very carefully dimple around the center of the pin to make it larger in diameter; I'm looking for a tap-in fit. I then clean the pin and tang hole with isopropyl alcohol and put a drop of red Loctite on the pin before I tap it into place. Works for me.......
