Problems logging into Pro Site from Buck home page

I recently established an ID on the Pro Site after seeing the discussions about the BCCI discount for Life Members.

I've been a Life Member since 2003, but hadn't been aware of the "Pro Site".

Anyway, I requested the "promotion code" from BCCI after speaking with Buck by calling the contact number and explaining what I was trying to do.

So far however, I have been unable to login? I called again and spoke to Stephanie earlier today, she confirmed my ID/password, as the option to have it sent from the login page also did not work. I then received another email stating my Pro Account has been accepted, but still cannot login?

Each time I attempt to login, this is the message displayed:

The e-mail address and password you entered do not match any accounts on record.

Has anyone else been experiencing problems?

No problem logging in. I signed in just now without issue. Still no red discount prices, unfortunately.

I believe it is "case sensative" make sure upper and lower case letters are correct.

Peter, I have the same problem. You need login dates the old BCCI members
didn't got. You have to ask John Foresman and he will send you the dates
(as Joe H. told me a few days ago). Good luck.

You may end up having to change your email and using an email address Buck hasn't seen before. When I first tried logging in to the pro site, I was getting the same message as you. I had to create another email address because the Buck site wouldn't let me change the status of the one they had on record from when I had ordered off their web specials pages before I had tried signing up on their pro site. Whew! Long sentence....sorry. :)

There has also been discussion on another thread about the pro site showing different prices. I have seen the same thing. The way I stay with the real discount prices is to only go to the knife pages from the log-in page. When I go to the price list from the front of Buck's website, I get the page with higher prices. I then have to go back to the log-in page of the prosite and re-enter the price page through there.

Their website is very finicky. Hope this helps.

In speaking with Stephanie, who supports the website at Buck in Post Falls, she "reset" my ID to reflect being a BCCI member and was able to confirm my ID and password.

Initially I thought perhaps I remembered my password incorrectly. The "send password" function doesn't work from the link on the "login" screen either?

Stephanie was going to contact someone that is more of a technician. Shortly after that, I received another email from "pro@buckknives.com" titled "Your Buck Knives Pro Application" and it stated the application was approved, but no other information contained within?

I received a copy of the card that was handed out to BCCI members with the "promotion code" by emailing John Foresman, but nothing was mentioned about specific ID's needed?

Hopefully it will get resolved. My guess is errors in code supporting their application. In trying to use the link to "send" the password, I notice a "java" script error at the bottom of the screen?

Thank you kindly Stumps for describing your strategic approach: Change your Prosite sign up email address from that previously used for Webspecials. I used my lovely wife's email address and completed the Prosite application and I'm in. I see the discounted prices in red and even bot a Hoodlum! What a great forum and what a wonderful manufacturer. Thank you members and thank you Buck.

Thanks for the help guys. Using another email address was the solution.

Once I did that and "created" another account, I was able to login and use the Pro Site.

I noticed that when I chose "shop" from the menu, I saw the prices in red next to retail in black. Once you select a specific item, choosing "details" displays a more reduced price, also in red.

There are some navigation issues when trying to return to previous pages. For example if you were on page (3) from a category such as "Everyday" and use the "back arrow" on your browser, you end up in the "Hunting" category on page (1)?

I guess you can't have everything!

Thanks again for the help,
Peter
