when i go to make a post, sometimes i'm able to and other times it hangs and a window pops up asking me if i want to navigate away from the page. other times it tells me the files are too big to upload but i'm not uploading any files. is anyone else having the same problem?

I use firefox, and it has begun to nanny me about leaving a page and deleting items.

Just happened to me a few minutes ago, might be a hiccup in the system?

Same thing here with Chrome. It has been off and on for a while, sometimes clearing cookies helps. Mostly not.

Yes, i've been having problems with the forum hanging and with the same problem posting. Sometimes i get that pop up asking if i want to "stay on the page" or not and when i click "leave the page" i end up with my post being double posted. I suspect others are having this problem also with the several double posts i've seen around the forum.

I'm running Avant and Trend antivirus and have no problems. For awhile back earlier in the summer for awhile randomly I would get the message box asking me if I want to navigate away from the page.

i have to log in on my spare pc to post and even on it i have the same problem. it took me several tries to make a post the other day. it can be random on either computer. i use avant browser but i have the same problem with ie.

It happens to me on occasion as well (Firefox, Chrome and Safari).

i got lucky and made a post earlier and then went to edit the post in my sharpening service thread. i got a message that says "The file(s) uploaded were too large to process". if this post goes it will amaze me. its aggrivating to not be able to post when i want to.

spark, any news yet on the problem? i managed to make 1 post this morning and when i went to make a 2nd post it was a no go. this is the message i got which makes no sense since i was just making a simple post. The file(s) uploaded were too large to process.

i am amazed that this post went. i'll go back and see if i can make another post where it failed before.

i was able to finally make the post but only after i disabled scripts in my browser. the first post i made i had scripts enabled.

still having problems . sometimes i get lucky and i'm able to make a post. i even have problems with pm's. i'm able to send a pm but not reply to one sent to me. it took me over half a dozen tries just to make a post today in mt&e. i'll be amazed if this post goes.

just to see if a new browser would make a difference, i installed google chrome and i'm still having problems. i was able to make a few posts without any problems and when i went to make another post i had problems. a box popped up asking me if i wanted to navigate away from the page. i clicked yes and was suprised my post was made.

when i clicked post reply to make this post it did not go. it took me to a page saying it could not display the page. this is getting very aggrivating. (finally went after getting the same message box about navigating away from the page)

This will happen to me only when my Internet is running slow, for instance when downloading or uploading near the max of my connection. Do you have anyone else using the Internet when you are? If so, they could be streaming/downloading/etc. and thereby causing the issue.

If you're using Windows, next time it happens, hit windowskey+r, type in cmd, and hit enter. A black/white window (command prompt) will come up. Type in: ping -n 20 www.bladeforums.com. It'll come out 20 times with something like "Reply from 199.231.142.3: bytes=32 time=100ms TTL=52". Report back here with the "time=[x]ms" results. Also try typing in: tracert www.bladeforums.com and see if any of the lines have over say 100 ms as any of the entries

Might just be your computer. I recall you mentioning that it was an older model, albeit new (age wise) hardware. That can have something to do with it. I was working on a Dell the other day and it was notably slow, when I entered the service tag, the computer was already 9+ years old with 512 MB installed RAM. Yikes.
