Problems posting pics - Please Help!

I don't think the problem is with BFC's software, I think it's my computer somehow. An image that looks fine on my computer, no matter what program I open it with, will often look all screwed up when I try to post it. This has happened on other forum sites as well, not just here. I'll attach a pic here and see how it looks.

Above is one example of the problem, see how the bottom half of the pic is all pixelated, it doesn't look like that on my computer. Sometimes I have to edit a post 4 or 5 times, reuploading the same picture, to get it to show up right. I'll try another and see how that comes out.

See how the pic above is all screwed up? It's not like that on my computer. Why does this happen? Is it just me?

It's a problem with processor speed and your upload. The server processes the post before your picture finishes uploading, resulting in the pixelated abortion you see above. I have that problem occasionally as well and I'm using a cable modem.

That's what a jpg looks like if you lose your connection in the middle of downloading it and only get part of the file. Evidently only part of the file is getting uploaded to the server.... I've never had that problem here and I'm using a modem -- so I guess you must have an unusually slow connection. That should show up in other ways, too.... I suggest if you're using a phone line and getting a lot of line noise, hassle your local phone company. In my experience if you keep calling and complaining they might fix it eventually. If it's not line noise, hassle your ISP and threaten to change ISPs -- or just do it.
