has any one had problems using nano oil! I noticed that it turns brass washers in a lot of my knifes vary dark with tarnish, I no all brass will turn and tarnish with age but I think it maybe do to the additive they use in nano products because it seems to happen vary fast, I thought I would just ask hear.

Bill, what lubricant do you suggest? I'd sure appreciate saving some money re. KPL & Nano.
Thanks.

Holy cow, how much of that stuff do you guys use? I'm still using the same 10ml vial I bought 3 years ago! Are you complaining about the one-time cost or do you use like, a vial a week?

A lot. I work on knives 5 days a week.

Knives are very simple little machines. They don't require much in the way of exotic lubrication.
Having worked on knives for over 50 years, here is what I have in my shop:
Breakfree-used most often
WD 40-for light lubrication, for cleaning, as a solvent, and a water displacer.
Quick Release- for knives that like heavier lube
Lithium automotive grease- used mostly on lever locks.

I actually have a gallon of breakfree in the shop that I use on guns! Thanks for your response sir.

elde66 elde66 I use Go-Juice gun oil and it doesn't tarnish build up or gum up anything,it's also about the slipperiest oil you'll ever find and it's plant based oil.
I some oil to my friend to use on one of his guns and it made his gun fell like a totally different gun and operated much smoother.

Appreciate the recommendation Wade....just ordered a 4oz bottle to give it a try. Should be delivered tomorrow. Like the non-toxic part! Been using Breakfree for 25 years but am always willing to give something "new" a shot. Thanks very much sir.

Thanks....sincerely.

I'm partial to Bill Wilson's grease on firearms. Have plenty of needle oilers as well. Been a gunsmith since '94 so do have my "prejudices" relative to gun cleaning/lubricating products. :)
