Problems with a Cabela's Legacy PST

I just received a Leatherman Legacy PST® Multi-Tool and was a bit disappointed. Although I knew that it was just a standard PST with a 24-kt. gold Cabela's logo and a fancy box, I was surprised to have issues with its condition. Red wax(??) was stuck to the file and some of the other components. Is the wax part of the manufacturing process? Also, the Cabela's logo was missing some of the gold. I sent it back to Cabela's for a refund. Anyone else have a problem with the Leatherman Legacy PST® Multi-Tool?

It may have just been an isolated incident. JoeBW checked his Legacy PST for me and said it was in good condition. I'm going to be near a Cabela's during the holiday so I might pick out another one. I don't recommend # 384!
