Problems with the site?

I'm trying to post a "for sale" thread, and when I either click "preview post" or "submit", it just sits there spinning and finally times out.
 
Is there a limit to how much text is in a post? I tried posting a "for sale" thread with multiple items, but it kept timing out. I shortened it to just one item, and it worked! lol Anyhow, it's been a long while since I've been on bladeforums, so I'm wonder if there has been changes.
 
No change, just software problems. Try editing in more text once you've gotten a short message to take.
 
It's been super SLOW all morning.Just took me 10 min to respond to a PM.
 
why don't you just put a heading on a post and post that. once that happened then go back and edit it and put what ever you are trying to say or sale. I hope that it works you out.

When I get those, it's usually in the evening. I have to restart the browser after maybe 10 minutes of trying to even refresh the page.

Yep. I usually just give up for a while and do something else...

These recent problems are very reminiscent of the server lags of a couple of years ago.

I'm still having this problem. I'm trying to post another thread in the exchange and it keeps timing out.

Happened again tonight the database error, the time was around 9:30 MT.

Try this:
Log out of Bladeforums completely. Clear out the cookies in your browser, everything. Restart yur browser and log back into Bladeforums and see if that works. What you are describing seems to be fixed for some folks by doing the above.

I finally got my sale thread going. Clearing the cookies and restarting the browser didn't work though. I ended up having to edit down and split the initial post into two posts in the same thread. I think it may have something to do with post size. This problem is happening in both Firefox and Chrome.

I was going to suggest posting in smaller bursts next. I'm glad you got your thread posted though. There must be some sort of issue somewhere that only Spark can straighten out. The database errors are frustrating too, when I rey to submit a reply, things just freeze, the next screen is the DE.
 
have you ever think about doing a restore on your computer?? when I was having a bunch of problems I did just that and my problems went away.

That is a thought, but I've had this happening on an iPad, iPhone, PC, and a Mac (database errors).
