After spending sometime at Ethan's house during the Beckerhead gathering, I decided to carry my newly acquired BK16 into the field on my first hunt of the season. As luck would have it, I was able to bag a 6 point buck with my Remington model 14 which had also been with me at the gathering, getting cleaned up and sighted in( thanks to Ethan, Tradewater, and his wife Kay).
I used my BK16 to not only field dress the deer, but to skin and process the deer once I got home. The BK16 worked great! I did have to tough up the edge a few times with my fine India stone.

What did you think of it? If you were going to change something, what would it be?

Congrats on the buck, that should be some good eatin'!

Wow man! I didn't know that anyone was still hunting with a Rem.14. What caliber is yours? And can you post some pics?
Congrats on the buck! I hop y'all get lots of good eatin' from it.

Congrats on the buck! The 16 has become my favorite hunting field knife. I used it on last years buck and even my turkey. I really like the blade shape for game work.

Great job on the buck.If you got pics would love to see them. I think I'm gonna try to trade one of my BK2's for a 17 or 15 soon before deer rifle season here on the 8th of next month. Otherwise probably just using the 11 or 24 to cape/process deer this year.

Sure you did Chance and I used mine to clean and dress a Unicorn LOL. Were are the photos ? LOL
