This is a knife that I finished up last weekend.

Some stats
OAL: 12-3/4"
Blade: 7-1/2" (tip-to-choil) of W2 with a significant distal taper
Weight: 0.69lbs (313g)
Fittings: mild steel w/ blued and hot-oiled grooves
Handle: stabilized Koa from Mark Farley at BurlSource

I almost never "name" a knife, but the hamon on this one really jumped out at me. Maybe I'm the only person that sees a procession of figures coming over the hill?... one of whom is leading a pack animal? o_O

The above detail shot also highlights the main flaw in the knife. That black spot is where my sanding exposed some of the black epoxy core. It probably should bother me more than it does... but package looks and feels so nice that I'm keeping it this way.

Thanks for looking.

That blade has a lot of character.

That little "peek a boo" is simply like a mole on a beautiful woman

Erin!!!! Nice to see you posting a knife again my friend....a lot of character in that.

I would like to think of that anomaly as a beauty mark instead of a mole or gerbil.

Erin: That is one fine knife, beauty mark included
