Mr. Glesser

Being a relatively new knife enthusiast, I have only noticed one of your knives being used in a movie, that was a serrated Police model in "Training Day".

Denzel's character uses it to threaten a punk, as well as cutting open a box of cash, showing the versatility of the blade.

Have you made a concerted effort to get your knives placed in movies, and can you elaborate on which films they have been "featured" in?

IIRC Kristi stated that their company does not "request" to have their knives in movies, they don't pay for it or anything like that. It is most likely due to prop managers, directors, etc... knowing of Spyderco and placing Spyderco knives in movies and tv.

Joyce works very hard to make sure that our knives are available to those that request them. She also requests that our knives are used by the "good guys" to do "good guy things".

However, the movie producers make their own decisions and use whatever product they choose.

I will say that our knives have been used in many films for many reasons. Sylvester Stallone had the good guy use our knives in several of his films. :D

Thanks Spoon for that link to various Spyderco "sightings" in Hollywood. Although I've seen all but a couple of those flicks, it was before I was introduced to the brand. I may have to watch Fightclub for the 12th time now;)
