After going through a bunch of the links in the Just a little history... post regarding Busse knives gone by and seeing all of the new stuff shown off at Blade it got me wondering how long the different producution Busse-kin blades were made available before they were discontinued. There is lots of great and comprehensive information available about general blade specifications but I wasn't finding anything regarding production runs. I was searching through the forum and found some information about when blades were released but never much about when they were discontinued.

The Busse Collector site is excellent and has start years but nothing too specific such as specific start and end dates. I know the Argonne Assault Light Brigade has been available since November 2011 and the Team Gemini Light Brigade has been available since February 22, 2012 but does anyone have any information about specific start and end dates for the different production blades over the years? Thanks!

Okay, tell no one what I am about to show you. :D  Seriously though, you could kill some time using the time machine of the internet aka wayback machine: http://archive.org/web/web.php From there, you can type in the www.bussecombat.com site and it will bring up all the months/years it has something archived. It will also let you know what configurations were available and for how much. Only lots of hours going to each day highlighted will you yield the info you seek :D But this will only go back so far, so it may only help so much  Forgot to mention, you'll have to hit the "Enter Site" on the Busse page and then onto "Knives"

KAAK! You just made my week! LMFAO!!!!! :D :D :D

KnifeAddictAK: Thanks! I had completely forgotten about archive.org. I picked a year and month at random and caught the Fusion Battle Mistress... $387... I wonder if that order link still works... :)

It's cool how in Jan of 1999 only the Battle Mistress is INFI and the rest are A2 but by Oct 1999 the Steel Heart II, Badger Attack, Mean Street and Police Recruit all are INFI. Don't look at the prices!

Ermagerd!

I saw that and died laughing. Figure I'm going to change my sig pic every now :D

No problem. Yeah, seeing the old prices makes me cry like a kid that just got robbed of his ice cream cone

Sad part is in my youth I often visited Knob Creek shoot and show. Busse was there, I saw them with my youthful eyes and never knew what I was looking at. Could have funded my education with some simple sales had I known what was before me.

Ok, back on topic. With the various shows and such, I believe a couple models return in very, very limited numbers from time to time. Of course, some are gone and never to be released again, but a few designs do seem to come out and play every once in awhile.

KAAK, thanks for the link and info.

Wow, KAAK that's incredible...it's like time-machine back through the Busse history I wasn't there for at the time...
