Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting this posted...been apologizing alot lately.

So then, let me get right to the meat of this brief report.

Rogers' Rangers
ATC is, and has been maintaining a one to two week turn-around window for its hand-forged products. This will change. Why? Because our hand forging operation is extremely labor intensive and our backorders for other products have grown considerably. Thus, ATC will be temporarily closing is hand-forging operation until all other products are current in terms of production and delivery.

This was a tough decision, as our RR line has steadily grown every month over the past year...the personalized RR Spike Tomahawk has become the preferred "Hail and Farewell" gift for Soldiers leaving units for others for many months now.

We anticipate re-opening the forge in 60-90 days...hopefully sooner. However, this decision was necessary to achieve our goal of one to two week turnaround on our other products.

We have a small supply of finished MinuteMen and Rogers' Rangers Spike Tomahawks available right now. If you want yours now, don't delay in ordering. Once their gone, the forge will be cold for a little while and you'll have to wait 2 to 3 months before ordering.

Vietnam Tomahawks

Our anticipated completion of drop-forgings on 8/4 has been postponed to 8/10, this Saturday. Once completed, and they WILL be completed on 8/10, we will be machining the eyes of several hundred of said forgings to receive the already machined and waiting Acetal handles.

After machining, we heat treat and parkerize...these two operations contribute about a week to the overall procedure.

We anticipate with great confidence a ship date for ALL Vietnam Tactical and Vietnam Field Grade orders no later than Friday 8/30. If we fail, you can take us to the cleaners with chargebacks and refunds and rightly so. However, I wouldn't make such a bold statement about it unless we felt THAT sure, so believe me when I say, we WILL be shipping by 8/30.

Next Generation Ranger Tomahawks

As I have stated before, the heads and handles ARE completed and being assembled. This last run was a nightmare, as we had to make several machining and programming adjustments along the way to get them just right.

We have high confidence that all of the backordered, most of the newly ordered, and the few replacement handle "Next Gens" will be on the road to your doorstep by Friday, 8/30. Again, if we fail, start applying the dry cleaning solution directly to my head, because I will deserve it. :D

Hayes Hawks

The heads are at BodyCoat right now being applied with their new Tungsten Carbide coating...quite expensive and durable, it is TOTALLY jet black and just perfect on the Hayes Hawk.

The machined Tsuka-pattern machined handles are nearly done and will be completely done before we get the heads back from BodyCoat. When the heads return, std. edition models will be shipped immediately and ltd. edition models will be shipped to Wally for his custom hand wrap.

Bodycoat should be shipping the heads back to us next week and our turnaround will be less than three days for std. editions to customers and ltd.'s to Wally in au' Canada!

----------

I know this post reflects pushed back dates and might be disappointing to some after reading our previous posts with commitments regarding delivery. However, I assure you we are equally anxious to fill your order, working hard toward that end, and will provide you with a high quality product that is unmatched in our biz.

Thanks so much for your support, enthusiasm, patience, and love of Tomahawks. We love them just as much and enjoy manufacturing them.

So basically we're talking another month before the VT's are in-hand?

Jeeze.

::Shakeing his head and sighing::

Phil you didn't really believe that you would get your Hawk before you depoled whne you had read the post of some of us that had been waiting, like myself since mid-may. Being that this is my first ATC hawk I hope it is worth the wait.

Whats worse is that when Andy was on Fox News with E.D. Hill, he gave her a tomahawk for FREE! Tell me, what kind of tomahawk fan do you think she is? I hope she realizes just how long it takes to get one......

OK, OK....

E.D. got a MinuteMan cause we have THOSE in stock! :D I handed that VT Tac RIGHT back to Craig after I showed it to her :D, as it's the ONLY sample we have in the office!!! Seriously.

OK Andy just joking a bit! I am satisfied with your efforts and it seems to me that you are hanging your A** out on this latest delivery promise. I'd feel flattered if I were you. Think about it, people are impatient because they want your hawks and that is better than finding posts from people sending hawks back and demanding refunds...which seems higly unlikely to ever happen.
We just want our hawks Andy. Dont feel like a lynch mob is gathering out side your office...Not for now anyway...Cheers Mate!

Andy its when the troops stop complaining that you got to worry about catching a frag, complaining troops are happy troops.

We are parkerizing them now.....they are nearly done and look great.

Sheaths for the first batch will be Survival Sheath Weapon Covers rather than the nylon pouch.

Rob is doing those now and we hope to have them next week....

Thanks Mr. Prisco. I really have a lot of respect for you and your business. I know that you are doing your best and you are willing to take your lumps at times to keep things like you want them. Your honesty is an uncommon trait nowadays. Keep up the good work and I will be happy to wait as long as needed, because I know my hawk will be here when it can be. Also, thats great news about the covers from SSS. I have been thinking about ordering a couple of things from them and this will give me a chance to check out their product. Sorry to be so windy, but after all the beans I had to get it out one way or another

Kev....

The Brend Hatchets come with concealex weapon covers, by SSS. If you want it to attach to your belt, you'll need to lash it, but primarily, the cover is made for webgear or LBE.

So, yes, you'll have two, but yours probably has a Tek Lok, as you bought it separately.

Andy,

I have been reading all the posts in the forum and it seems like the guys love your product. I figured with all the anxious customers out there, I needed to join in. I ordered the VT and Minuteman today. I look forward to throwing that VT into my helmet bag during my Middle East missions. You can never have enough survival gear. Thanks!!!!!

Thanks to all for the contributions to this thread, for your patience, enthusiasm, and love of the product.

Andy, how are you doing? You invited me here the other day and I thought I would stop on by.
Hadn't done so before becouse of what I said on the phone, but with you asking me...who am I to turn down that kind of request.
Folks, Andy is a great American and is doing great things for this great country.
504, what BN and what time frame? Was there myself for about 6 years in 2nd BN.
Andy, I'll be out of town next week, I'll be in touch when I get back. Take care and stay safe. Dean

Dean, I was in the A Co. 1/504 from 87 to 90. Actually carried a replica Vietnam Tomahawk with me on my combat jump into Panama with the 504, been hooked on hawks since.
