I know the CS Trailmaster has a good reputation and the Busse BM is becoming legendary but I was wondering how some of the other production bowies stack up. Particularly SOG's bowie and Gerber's bowie. I'm particularly interested in the Gerber. I love that coffin handle! I suppose Ontario's Bagwell series can be included in this if anyone has experience with them.

I had a gerber bowie several years ago and although the fit and finish was fine, I found that the steel was too soft. The edge did not hold an edge too well. I used it for camping when I thought bigger was better. Any Bagwell Bowies I have seen and handled have been very well made.
