The only Emerson I have ever handled has been the CQC7B I own. My problem is that I don't particulary care for the handle. It is not a design problem it is just taste on my part.

When opened the size of the handle seems to overshadow the lenght of the blade. The handle is also flat.

From the pictures of customs I've seen (6s & 7s)the handle appears more proportionate in size to the blade plus they look as if they are rounded.

Why couldn't this design be implemented into Emerson's production knives?

IMHO, the Viper 1 has the best handle to blade ratio in the business, bar none. Perhaps a prodo version would be a solution.

I haven't gotten one, but the new I&I Sports exclusive model may address the problem, too. I think most makers are guilty of putting bigger handles than are warranted by the blade size on their knives, so you may spark a trend.
