The dogleg jack is one of my favorite patterns but I only seem to see them made by custom makers. Are there any production doglegs on the market besides the few GEC has put out?

Queen made a run of Dogleg Jacks with D2 blades and Birdseye Maple covers in something like 2006. Sometimes you might find one on a dealer's "back shelf"(back page).

Here's mine, a recent acquisition.

I have
Case Mini-trapper
Queen mini-trapper
Queen dogleg jack
GEC dogleg jack

The handles of the jacks are similar to those of the trappers. However, the jacks have wider clip blades compared to those of the trappers. And of course the pen instead of the spey.

Edited to add comparison shot:

Case mini-trapper
Queen mini-trapper
Queen Dogleg

Here's a few old Dogleg Jack knives, It's one of my fav's... I don't think anybody but GEC makes the "real" Dogleg Jack anymore??? I could be wrong, But
I haven't seen that many. Case/Bose Dogleg can still be found from time to time, Just got to be on the lookout.

Closest thing I've got to a dogleg jack is the GEC houndstooth I have:

The one with a spear blade is closer, but I don't have one of those. Maybe a 56 would be in order....

I know I'm not being helpful in your quest but I will show my 56s. I also have a 55 incoming (I wish they made all the variations of this frame with half stops.) The Weaver doesn't see much carry but it was a Christmas gift from my dad so I'll always hang on to it.

I have a Queen birds' eye maple like Frank's, it's a really sweet knife. I just don't have a pic of it!

Then of course is the GEC...

Great suggestions. One thing that disappoints me is how, aside from GEC, how little pronounced the dogleg pattern is for most of these production folders. But I guess that's pretty much par for the course comparing production knives to the custom patterns I love. The Queen birdseye maple is absolutely beautiful, but I'd really like a dogleg jack with a spear main, so I guess I'll be going for GEC

Yes, very nice useful size these Queen 51 models. I have one in the WCSB from some years back, too bad they don't offer it in their current Zebra Wood. Or maybe that will change?

The GEC 56 in Spear is a good knife too, but a little thick&heavy perhaps. Excellent F&f on them though.

Thanks, Will
