Hello all,

After getting a buck 110 in CPM-154 I am seriously impressed by this steel. Out of everything I have I can get this steel screaming sharp, more so then all the other steels I have. It holds this incredibly sharp edge for a while too. The only problem is that I don't see anybody who offers this knive in this steel besides bucks 110 folder, which is no EDC for the office.

Are there other folders made with CPM-154? Is so please let me know what they are or were and I can go off searching for them.

Also, are there any fixed blade knives around 4" with CPM-154 steel? I know Koster has a bushcraft knife, but I wouldn't mind having other option.

I am loving CPM-154!

kershaw had/has a blur in it....on the really expensive side, boker has a couple...

Benchmade is using it on a few.

Also about your fixed blade desires. Go to the makers for sale section, at the top on the right of the "thread box" where all the posts are listed, there is a link button for "Search this forum", in the box enter cpm-154, you won't regret it.

Benchmade - CPM-154?? Please tell me what, where, and when and I am there. I thought they only used 154CM, not CPM-154. I have their 154CM and it is ok, but I like CPM-154 much better.

I will look into that blur, looks like a plane jane knife, but if thats the only EDC folder with CPM-154 the it is what it is. I have their leek in D2, and that is great too.

Thanks for the tips about the custom makers..

Tim Galyean uses CPM-154 on his pro series knives

Here is my TNK Pro Series Sm JYD

That is an awesome knife, and I did see those knives before I posted. Only reason I said production is because those custom folders are EXPENSIVE. My ultimate choice would be a Large Mayo TNT w/ cpm 154, but way too expensive...

How much did that small JYD cost you?

The custom fixed blades usually stay at a cheaper price point so thats why I asked about that.

What does Emerson use?

154CM. Close, but not quite.

To add to the original discussion, Kershaw's actually got two versions of the Blur in CPM-154, one in burnt orange one and one in OD green. Beyond them, one high-end Boker, and the Buck 110, there's not much out there for CPM-154 in production folders. It's still very much a custom maker steel.
