Production Folding Kerambit?

If you guys haven't been by the Emerson Knives website, you need to! I first saw this knife at the self-defense forum, and I have got to say...this knife rocks!!! Does anyone know if there is a chance of this becoming a production knife? I hope so, I would love to have one but $450 is more than my knife budget allows.

The Kerambit will be offered as a production piece.

It will be an exclusive to a Japanese dealer. The dealer has not been made public at this point.

That having been said . . . while these are an exclusive to a Japanese dealer, they are not exclusive to Japan. There will be a web site set up for Internet based orders anywhere in the world.

Thanks, John. I appreciate the quick answer. Any idea what the price might be? I would love to have one of these, and of course....the sooner the better!:D

Blade Magazine has an Emerson Folding Karambit as its cover story for January 2003, MSRP $229.

Wow, where did you pick up that copy of Blade? Around here they just put out the December 2002 issue just a couple of weeks ago. And a very happy birthday to you if you unwrap a present to find that in the box!!

I called EKI a week ago and ordered one. Got to have one of these knives.
 
Good luck on getting it for your birthday, bu don't get the hopes up too high. If EKI's new products were totally on schedule it would still be the middle of June and I would get my 8 next week.
 
this knife rocks, i was watchin the Demo videos and i love the way he was flipping and twirling it around . Awsome!
